This super lightweight WC has given me some freedom back. Now when I go places, I don’t always have to be pushed, but can go my separate way when shopping!!
I can load it myself into the backseat of most cars if the passenger seat is pulled forward. I’m 5’0” and a T-5 incomplete SCI, so I can stand and walk a few steps holding on to something. I watched a video that showed to put the handles in first on the floor. Then lift wheels and push in. Sometimes I still have to help the handles over the hump, but it’s really easy – esp if someone can help out from the opposite side.
It looks brand new still and I’ve put it through a lot, powering it through my yard. The seat, even though just a vinyl sling, is pretty comfortable (and considering my butt is one of the most painful parts of my spinal cord injury, that’s saying a lot). I think it’s because my back end can kind of hang off, if I want it to.
I took off one star because you do have to be aware it can flip backwards if you go up an incline and don’t make adjustments to your body’s balance. Took 2 falls for me to commit that bit of physics to memory. 😂 now I go up that ramp backwards!
