   My insurance company paid for a wheel chair from their provider. I had a small co-pay and after the fact learned, i was only renting the chair and i had to pay monthly rental fees. The chair was hard to navigate and extremely uncomfortable. i sent it back and bought this chair. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. the chair is comfortable, easy to maneuver with so many great features. worth every penny and then some. I am now comfortably and safely mobile again. a million thanks for great product.

   One of the wheels was wobbly the day that I received it. It was plastic and light weight so I didn’t pay much attention to it. The more I used the wheelchair the wobbling became annoying. I looked at the wheel real close and discover that one of the spokes had been separated from the rim. The only thing keeping it in place was pressure, but it is starting to pull away from the rim. I have had the wheelchair for 40 days and it is now unsafe.

   They called this the standard so I thought it would be like the normal wheelchairs we use in the hospital, but it was a good bit smaller. My wife is a petite 5′ 2″ and this fit her perfectly, thank goodness. The chair is easy and it folds up enough to fit in the back of our Prius. One thing. I am 6′ and the handles on this chair are so low they caused me back pain from leaning over to push it. I bought handle extenders here on best-wheelchair.com and that totally solved the problem. I’m sorry you need a wheelchair, but this one is pretty good.

   My spouse needed a wheelchair with a leg rest after having knee surgery. It was cheaper to buy than rent. It worked fine and was sturdy. However, the handles stink like rubber and would cause my hands to smell. I ended up taping latex gloves over the handle and wrapping with box tape. Also, the seat of the chair was uncomfortable, so I bought a separate U-shaped cushion. With these modifications, it was perfect! FYI, the leg rest doesn’t extend to a perfect 90 degree. It’s more like 100-110 degrees.

   STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED PRE-PAID RETURN POSTAGE so I can return wheelchair. I placed an order for this wheelchair and then cancelled the order. This company charged me and sent the chair anyway. I double checked the dates and I cancelled before they charged me, so I know they had time to stop the shipment. Now they say I have to pay to ship it back!! it costs over $800 to ship it back!! I explained to their customer service person ( whom I could not understand) and they were no help at all. Now I am stuck with a wheelchair I did not want. It is also very heavy, my husband nor my daughter cannot lift it by themselves and I certainly can’t lift it. What a waste and so sad this company won’t help us.

   This chair is, of course, a lower cost product. It works fine, but I’ve had a couple of issues. For me, it is not overly comfortable, but that is based on my own fit. Other issues include: the vinyl cover on one arm rest pad has failed to stay tucked into its base. The loose edge irritates my arm. Also, one leg rest doesn’t want to lock in place. It takes a lot of effort to lock it, and then is very difficult to release. The other side works fine. Given that this chair is only 2 or 3 months old, I am disappointed. But for the price, it is what it is. I am awaiting delivery of a proper chair, carefully fit for my personnel needs (although it is much more expensive then this one).

   I bought it for my mom last year. I like it overall but unfortunely the pnumatic piston of the left side broke while travelling. Might have been the mishandling by the airlines as we gave it in luggage. wonder where and how i can buy the replacement.
