My 6’3″ father fit in this fine(200 pounds at the time). Even got him into the house over some rough areas and it was fine. He unfortunately stopped needing it though so it was returned and I can’t say how it would have done long term.

I bought this for my mother based on the features of a similar wheelchair that we had borrowed and that I liked. But this one was a little better. We’ve used it for 3 months, now, whenever she has to go out. It’s light enough to be easy to put into a car’s trunk with one hand. The footrests are detachable, and if the trunk is a bit too small, the handles fold down. And that design is nicely done because there’s a bit of a bend in the handles so that they wrap around the frame. Other transport wheelchairs have the handle straight with the frame and they end up having to be angled away so those chairs don’t lay flat. This one does lay flat with the handles folded, and that also makes the chair significantly smaller. The brakes can be locked (a common feature). The footrests can be flipped up or swung all the way out of the way, to clear a path to a chair (or car seat)(a common feature, I think). There are pushbars near the rear wheels to help tilt up the chair to get over small bumps. It folds and unfolds very easily.
This isn’t a super sturdy chair for negotiating rough terrain but it does reliably get my mother to her doctors and the table at the restaurant with little fuss, which is all I ask of it. It was definitely a worthwhile purchase.

I bought this for my father who is 180 lbs and 5’8″. He says it is very comfortable and the large wheels help to make the ride smooth over small bumps. Sometimes he sits in it at home instead of the normal house furniture because he says it is so comfortable. It is very light for the size, and easy to push with someone it it. The foot rests remove, handles fold down, and sides come together about half the original width, then it easily fits in any small hatchback and probably most sedan trunks. It can be collapsed, or reassembled, in under a minute. It fits in the rear of my Toyota mini van without any need to collapse. I just put it in the back standing on the wheels, and lock the brakes.
The construction is very good, but beware this is a light duty chair which I don’t think can take extreme use. It doesn’t go at all in gravel, sand or thick lawns. I was afraid to break it when once I tried pushing my dad across the lawn. I took my dad to a cemetery with a paved foot path that had lots of roots raising the pavement. The chair felt like it was twisting out of shape, and I am sure it would not endure a lot of this twisting. The chair is not meant for “off roading”. If you stay on hard flat surfaces it is a great chair for the user and the pusher. I think it is very good value and would highly recommend if used only on flat, firm surfaces.

What a GREAT easy to transport chair! We bought this for Mom who now has mobility issues following a hospital stay. With two easy to insert and easy to remove footrests, this chair folds up easily into a car trunk and makes taking Mom to her doc and other appointments so easy.

This is the perfect transport chair for my elderly Mother. It is light weight and yet heavy duty as the same time. It has brakes for safely getting in and out of the chair. By easily pressing two buttons the handles fold down and then you just fold the chair together and load it into the car. It comes with two removeable foot rests. I highly recommend this chair.

My wife is about 160 lb. and the wheelchair worked great for us during a vacation at South Beach (Miami). I pushed her for what was probably several miles over the course of five days– over roads and sidewalks— with no issues. However, despite the description indicating it can support 300 lb., while it IS very well made, I would think twice about using it for anyone over 200 lb. except for very short spans.

Excellent item. Proved to be a great asset when we had a recent injury. Much better than a large wheelchair.

My husband uses it like a walker instead of his regular walker. He can push it when he is walking but can also use it like an office chair when he sits in it and is belted in. He can maneuver it short distances with his feet while sitting safely.
Some people try to use walkers with a small seat to maneuver around while sitting and they are NOT designed for that. My husband tried to do that. He would slide out of the seat and it would not move with his weight in it using his feet.
Best of both worlds for us
