   There are several problems with this product. First of all, this chair is huge. It would not fit in my accessible shower. A third of the item stuck out. The engineering is especially poor. The brake is funky and difficult to adjust. The instructions are poorly written, with confusing instructions (written by a non-English author). But perhaps most disturbing, the instructions regarding returning this product simply does not work. After initiating the refund sequence, I was told that a return label would be sent in three to five business days. It’s now been over a week – no contact from the seller. I called best-wheelchair.com. I was told that there is no need to return this item. Bad deal. I now have this huge box with chair wheelchair inside. Does anyone know what to do with a huge box of wheelchair parts? I called around to various closets and medical loan closets. Seems that no one is interested in picking up this monster. I, being a person with a disability, cannot load it up and tote it around. Buyer beware, or you too might end up with a bow full of wheelchair parts that no one wants.

   I got this Shower Commode Wheelchair for my grandmother, and it’s been such a helpful addition to her daily routine. The adjustable design ensures she’s comfortable, and the wheeled frame makes it easy to move her around the bathroom without any difficulty.
   The black finish looks modern and is easy to keep clean. My grandmother really appreciates the practicality of it, as it allows her to feel more independent and comfortable during her showers. The design is sturdy and well-built, so I know it will last.

   This shower/commode wheelchair arrives in nine pieces not counting the four bolts, Allen wrench, commode pan top, or instructions) that have to be assembled. The assembly instructions were impossible for me to decipher. I had to look at the video on the best-wheelchair.com site and the first part of the assembly associated with the installation of the locking bolts was practically impossible for me to understand. I finally realized that it gets installed on the half pipe protrusion in the front part of the frame that sticks toward the back of the chair. It is impossible to know exactly where this goes before the large wheels are installed, so I just threaded it on the pipe partway, installed the wheels, tested the brake locking mechanism, and then fully tightened it in the appropriate spot. I attached a photo with and without it engaged. After this, the rest of the installation is a cinch. Assembly took me about 35 minutes due to the initial installation of the locking mechanism. This wheelchair acts as both an “in-shower chair,” over the commode chair, and free-standing commode chair. This supports someone who is up to 265 pounds. It is absolutely excellent as long as one has the space to maneuver this around the house. POSITIVES – Assembly is easy and intuitive only after the first installation step is figured out and one follows the best-wheelchair.com video. – Both the front and back wheels lock. – This is rated for those weighing up to 265 pounds. – This is very sturdy and rolls and maneuver’s easily. – The commode pan loads on the track from the back without the top in place. The commode pail has a handle and also a top for storage. – The foot rests fold down and also moves out of the way and locks in place. – The arms of the unit raise and lower but the arms do not lock in the down position. – The unit has a good seat, comfortable backrest, and good armrests. NEGATIVE – It is a heavy unit and cannot be adjusted or folded. One has to take it apart if going from one tight location to the next. – The assembly instructions are terrible. The first installation step is impossible to understand. – The armrests do not lock in place, so one cannot pick up the chair by that. In summary, I love the maneuverability of this shower wheelchair/commode chair combo. The armrests lift and fold and the seat and backrest are comfortable. This unit does not collapse and one has to have a wide shower to roll into. It also has to have space beside the commode to roll the wheelchair over it if used as an over the commode type chair. This is extremely functional and well made and simple to use and roll but requires space. It is also not adjustable as the best-wheelchair.com title claims. The current price of $399 is about $100 too much for this.

   Easy to set up manual shower wheel chair takes less than 15 minutes. This is perfect chair for those who have mobility problems. Even come with a portable toilet stool. I do not recommend this product for sidewalk strolling. Well made and durable holding a good amount of weight. I recommend this product for the quality.

   I must change my original review. The base lip was not as tall as expected. I must lift his front wheels by the foot pedals to get the chair started out of the shower; however, it is light weight and manageable.

   Because of the missing back foot aid, I deducted one star.
   If they can help me with a seat with a smaller hole, I would give them a 4 star.
   I need a seat with a smaller hole. At present he fears falling through especially when soapy. Hoping the company will see this a reach out. The chair is pretty nice otherwise. I dreaded the chair bringing lots of water out and that is not so bad. Not sure how.

   Original review. – There are no foot pedals for the caregiver to help lift the front wheels so we can get into the shower. Without that, I cannot lift him over the 3/4” lip of the shower pan. If you have a flat floor, it would be a nice chair. I am hoping the company has something to add to this.

    This is a great wheelchair for bathroom and household use with hard plastics and durable materials for easy cleaning and sanitization. It clears my small toilet bowl well and the wheels roll smoothly and easily. The arm rests and super comfortable but this is not meant for long term hanging out, they get the job done for the bathroom. Seems shower ready although I havent tested it yet and i am happy to see that its sturdy and smooth to operate so far.
