My husband of 78 years found himself needing a wheelchair overnight. I rented a wheelchair that weighed 35 pounds and I (age 72) couldn’t lift it into the car. We both wanted a wheelchair that would give him his freedom to roll himself and that I could easily lift in and out of the car. Because of the weight of the chair, it is not as stable as the heavy chair when he gets in and out but he is able to account for this. Another plus for this chair is that the dimensions of the outside wheel to outside wheel is about 1″ narrower than the rental making it easier for him in doorways. The wheels are smaller than the normal wheelchair so make sure before buying that this will not a problem for you.

All in all I love this chair. Very easy for me to put into my car. I only have one leg and it’s very difficult for me to hold onto the car door and lift a wheelchair. With this chair it is so light that I’m no longer afraid of falling. I deleberty bought a smaller size so that I quit hitting door frames in my house. This chair has only one drawback for me. The wheels are about a inch too small to make it easy to wheel. I’m sure with a couple days practice I’ll be fine, still a little bit larger wheel would be more comfortable to roll. Still, I love this chair.

Purchased for my 90 year old Father. Lightweight, easy to fold, compact enough to fit in smaller trunk, rolls great…Perfect! Only drawback might be the price, but for us, worth it!

This is a little harder to push at times than more expensive chairs AND the tires are not easily removable as was advertised. However it is very light and narrow enough to fit through most doors. My daughter does like it a lot.

Love this brand and yes it is super duper light. I can almost pick it up with one hand! And I am a regular size female. My patient likes it too. Keep in mind it is a travel chair and the support is not that great for any long term sitting. The cushions available to purchase are quite expensive btw. The chair however is all that is promised and a bit expensive. I chose it bc other travel chairs I have used are too heavy to lift and put in the car. The 16″ is a good pediatric size for young smaller adults as well.

We had purchased this wheelchair—The Karman LT 980 Lightweight. However, the footrests where set two high for my husband who is 5’10”. He did not appreciate his knees positioned with his chest. And when the rests were lowered, they hit the wheels. This wheelchair is perfect for him and easy to maneuver around the home and to lift for transport.

I ordered this chair and this is NOT what I received. I ordered 16″ seat with the desk arms and hand brakes. I received a 20″ seat, and full-sized armrests. Very heavy wheelchair with no hand brakes. I instead received this model Karman S-Ergo 115 Ergonomic Ultra Lightweight Wheelchairs S-Ergo115Q20SS, Swing Away Removable Footrest 20″ W X 17″ D Seat, Frame Color Silver & FREE Medical Utility Bag Gray!

This chair is lighter and easier to maneuver than the basic Drive chair my mom was given when she left rehab. The arms are soft and much nicer than the ones on her old chair, which started cracking after a year. In fact, all of the materials are nicer. I don’t use a cushion like on her old chair, which I had to constantly adjust out of fear of her falling when I helped her transition. The chair easily folds in half when I put it in the back of my Prius, and I know it can fold up more if needed. Most importantly, the front wheels swing out of the way when I pull the chair up to my mom to transition her. (She used to catch her foot on the front wheel of her old chair.) The chair is expensive, but I am glad I bought it!
