Took this little beast out for a day trip and was amazing on the cobbled stones, doesn’t take long to unfold but do bare in mind with the wheels on can be a little heavy, I always take mine off when transporting it 🙂 great chair, really made a difference

This is a great chair that folds up easily and fits in the boot of my Renault Clio. It is comfy for my mum and nice to push. The brakes are useful downhill and the chair is very manoeuvrable.

most ergonomic wheelchair i have used, supports back at correct angle so i can sit in it all day without back getting sore – i got this as a multiuse chair, use it at my desk for computer and building with lego, fits desk perfect with the fold down armrests – i can still stand and walk a little so use it sort of like a walker when i can stand and a wheelchair when i cant , light enough to push around like a walker without trouble – it sturdy enough but for the price i didnt expect it to be heavy duty – quality is good for the price and i dont expect any problems, but i wouldnt do any major “off road” stuff with it – some have commented on tire tubes not good but mine has no problem at all and tires and tubes installed correctly and inflated enough to use out of the box

Handle broke after 2 uses. Seatbelt is cheap plastic and broke. I’m sending it back to seller. Glad they have a return policy. I was liking it. The inner tubes glided nicely outside. The handles feel cheap to me.

I only need a wheelchair at certain times depending on my health. I have a blood cancer and some days I suffer debilitating fatigue. This chair is very comfortable and it works so well on country paths. My partner has pushed me over grass, gravel paths and other rough terrain in country parks. The brake at the front is so useful. Make sure the tires are pumped up to a decent level before going out. I have a smaller transit chair but this is probably my choice now for any outdoor activity. It’s compact enough for a saloon car to carry. So pleased I sent away for it as it allows us to go further on days out.

Bought for aging parent but not yet used. First look is great. Looks and feels sturdy. Tires fully inflated. Easy to unfold and fold back up but had to turn sideways onto its side to open it or push down to close it. Instructions are limited and don’t provide the best way to do it but may find a better way as it starts being used. Back wheels come off surprisingly easy with the quick release which is a feature that I keyed in on. That will make it easier to get in the car trunk. It was easy to line them back up and snap back into place. Seat mat is thicker padding than hospital wheelchairs and cheaper priced ones so it will be so much more comfortable. Same for the back padding. They both use Velcro to hold then on so they are fairly easy to remove if needed and for folding the chair to put in the car. Overall my first impressions are that I am glad I spent a little bit more money for what looks to be a good quality wheelchair. After we use it I may add more info on how well it worked.

Perfect chair, comfortable and well made. Easy for my daughter to push and can also be self pushed, comes assembled but will need a pump to pump up tyres. Overall an amazing sturdy wheelchair

I am a person with a permanent physical disability and I purchased this chair as an upgrade for an anniversary trip with my husband. First, let me say the chair is light weight, the ride is smooth, not jarring over uneven surfaces, easily folds and seems to fit in every size vehicle trunk. Now let me speak to the customer service of the wheelchair company as this item is not sold by best-wheelchair.com. On the very first day of my Washington D.C. vacation a plastic piece broken and could not be glued or mended because of where the break occurred. I sent a message to the vendor with a photo and within a couple of hours Libby respond and offered to overnight ship a metal version of the replacement part to the hotel. The part was received by 10:00 am the following day and my husband was able to swap the part out using a screwdriver. I cannot say enough how professional, prompt and helpful Libby was, she saved the day and our trip for sure. This is a great chair and I understand your hesitation about spending this amount of money on a wheelchair however, based on the customer service alone I would highly recommend this product. Thanks again Libby!

I was really surprised when the wheelchair came. I’ve been using this chair now for a couple weeks and I’ve been able to go several different places that I couldn’t before and I’m in this wheelchair for you know a while since my prosthetic is having problems so I really think this is a great chair. And it was a decent price since Insurance didn’t pay for anything I was happy about the price I recommend this chair 100%

I’m giving this a 5 star review despite one large product defect. The defect can be over-come, and the company was so communicative and helpful, that they deserve the 5 stars.
First the bad: the tubes in these tires are garbage. I read reviews that also said this before I bought the chair, and I intended to purchase new tubes ahead of time, but just didn’t have the time to do that before my dad needed the chair. When you’re taking care of someone who needs a wheelchair, it’s important that it works 100% of the time. I wound up needing to transport my dad on this on completely flat tires. I took the tires to a bicycle shop and they replaced the original tubes. The company reimbursed me for this and we’ve had no troubles with the tires since.
The tires came deflated. My brother in law pumped them up, but they quicky deflated again, one side more significantly than the other. I kept trying to pump them up to the correct pressure, but they just wouldn’t persist. As the attached video shows, the nozzle/valve pushed into the tire at that point, and it was really difficult to hold it steady and attach a pump to inflate them. Attached also is a picture of the new tubes the bike shop installed. These have a metal nozzle/valve (though I’m not sure that’s necessary), but they also have like a metal ring/nut on top that keeps the nozzle above the tire. The person installing these told me that might help. I have no idea whether these types of tubes are necessary, but I can tell you they are working well.
Like I said, the company who sells these has been really great in their communication, but I would suggest they pass along the strong suggestion to source higher quality tubes. If they pay only $10 more for dependable tubes it would be worth it, and I’m sure people would pay a few dollars more for better quality.
Now for the good stuff. I bought the 20″ wide seat, because my dad is 206 lbs. It’s a great size chair for him. The seat height is also great, which was one of the big selling points for me. So many of these chairs have a low seat. Elderly people have trouble standing from a low seat, so I’m not sure why all wheel chairs don’t have a higher seat like this. The chair is comfortable to sit in. My dad has sat in it for hours on the patio, and hasn’t asked to move to one of the patio chairs instead, so it’s clearly comfortable. My dad can maneuver himself easily in this chair. We’ve taken it out on a few outdoor paths of dirt/wood/bumpy asphalt/crushed stone.. and it maneuvers very well.
It is a lightweight chair, so you have to be mindful of that and not tip it. (you know, I wouldn’t do downhill races with it..) But the light weight is a plus too as it’s easy to lift into a trunk. I’m a 51 year old woman and I have no issue at all lifting it. My 75 year old mom lifted it into the trunk the other day and I didn’t even notice her doing it, so it clearly wasn’t a strain for her. We take off the foot rests to get it into the car but leave the wheels on.
This is just a really well designed chair, certainly for what we are using it for. I recommend it, though I would definitely plan to replace the wheel tubes before you use it. Oh, another plus – they sell a lot of replacement parts. I can see down the line we might want a new seat cushion, etc. It seems that you can buy all replacement parts, so that’s sure to be a plus as well.
