I used this wheelchair once and the rubber from the front wheel came unattached while at the park. I had to send it back through UPS and it cost $158.00 to send it back with insurance. The company reimbursed for the wheelchair quickly…which I’m thankful for. But there was no reimbursement for the shipping fee which is outrageous since the product was defective. I will never order an item like this again online unless directly through a company that provides free returns and warranty covering such incidents.

This wheelchair is great. That being said who delivers a wheelchair with brakes that were not adjusted to hold the chair in place when transferring. I had to adjust the brakes/wheel stops myself. It makes me wonder what else is substandard in the assembly of this unit. I’m keeping it because I’m a big guy and is the only chair available with a 22 inch seat. I’m giving a 2 star rating because the assembly job was poor. The wheelchair so far is a 5 star.

We travel a lot and taking a wheelchair is always a hassle. Airlines and other baggage handles are terrible about taking care of your wheelchair, I can’t even count the number they have broken. Airlines will replace but that can take days out of your trip or cost you comfort, convenience and money if you immediately rent until you can get another one. With this brand of wheelchair, you can buy a carry bag, which HELPS protect it. The wheelchair is very lightweight and pretty comfortable. The negatives are that it’s delicate so you can’t go on cobblestones or brick walkways, you can’t store it in hot or cold which for me means I cannot leave it in my car or my garage, and the back and seat cushions have to be removed and reattached every time you fold up the chair. Overall I would still recommend this chair for the carrying ability alone. We pack the chair in it’s bag and use airport wheelchairs until we get to our destination allowing us to check in the chair instead of loading at the gate.
