A friend of mine can’t walk far outside of his house. He has medicare, but they would only cover one type of chair that was bulky and not portable. This chair is great. Hes 6″ 2′ and it’s comfortable and easy to use (the joystick is a tad sensitive at higher speed but you can get used to it). It’s very easy for me to disassemble and put in my trunk. I have back problems so I’m glad it’s light enough. Since Medicare won’t cover this kind, we had to look at shops. They were all outrageously expensive. THIS one is perfect. One of the best things about this electric wheelchair is that it comes with two powerful lithium batteries, which means we can go hiking all day without worrying about the battery running out. The wheelchair is very easy to fold up and can be disassembled into 2 parts and loaded into the car for transport, and I like that it can be switched to manual so I can push my aunt around where there are many people.
The joystick is also very maneuverable and easy for her to use, there are multiple speed stages to choose from, making it suitable for any terrain, and the seat and backrest are very comfortable, which I believe she is safe in this chair. I like this chair very much.

I am an active 87 year old female with COPD. The 10 liter tank I use fits nicely in a mesh bag tied to the back of the machine. However, with the weight of the tank and my weight, I’m very slim, the Joy Stick seems very sensitive to the slightest touch. I wish it weren’t quite so difficult to manage. However, I’m determined to get more comfortable with it.
I wish the battery would stay charged longer.
I do have a question. Should I keep the machine charged when not in use? Or does it run down the battery? Thanks, KM
