My last visit to the ER with a badly injured foot and no wheelchairs available was horrible! I decided then because I usually sprain my ankle at least once a year I will not be going thru that situation again!
I have peace of mind knowing I have my own and no more worry!
The only thing I noticed is I have to adjust the brakes but other then that she is ready to go..
The price was excellent and the service was excellent as usual!

My husband has been having trouble walking through the grocery store. There are almost never any provided motorized wheelchairs available. Or they are usually out of order. This wheelchair was a nice price and it easy to unfold. It’s not too heavy. The maneuverability is great. There is one problem with the chair. The arm won’t stay locked in place on the right side. They are made to be able to be removed with a button. For some reason this button won’t stay locked and my husband has to keep knocking it back into locked position. I don’t know how to contact someone about this problem.

I really don’t have a negative thing to say about this wheelchair! I had extensive knee surgery and learned I would be non-weight bearing for approximately 6 weeks. Crutches and/or a walker wasn’t going to cut it all the time at home, or going out. Due to the immobilizer brace, I had to have a wheelchair that included the leg/foot rests. Since it was a temporary situation, I didn’t want to spend a lot and after countless phone calls looking to rent a chair as well as searching on second hand sites, it became clear that purchasing a chair would be the best option. The Drive Medical Silver Sport arrived in 2 days and the only assembly needed was attaching the leg rests which is fantastic. It is incredibly durable, and I feel safe getting in and out of it as the wheel locks are easily accessible and work very well. I chose the larger size since I plan on keeping it and I wanted my husband to be able to use it if needed. It is a bit too large for some of our doorways (our house is old). It folds up easily for transport, but is a little heavy for me to carry down the stairs or put in the car due to my injury. I would recommend purchasing a wheelchair seat pad because the standard seat can be a bit uncomfortable if your are in the chair for an extended period of time. It is a quality item and reasonably priced.

Fits through my doorways which was my first concern. A little rough to maneuver on carpet and uphill without sufficient upper body strength but that was to be expected. The seat and arm rests are super comfy and that wasn’t expected. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase. One caveat, I’m only 5’3″ and have the leg extended as far as it will go. If you have a need to elevate your leg, I can’t imagine that position would be comfortable for someone much taller than myself.
