This was purchased for a senior having some difficulty with mobility and strength. We also have a transport chair as well, with the smaller wheels. This one is a bit heavier and a little more difficult to get in the trunk. The foot rests had to be removed where on the transport chair the can be moved to the side. But, I feel the large wheel on this chair is a plus, making it so much easier to push and maneuver over bumps. Plus the person in the chair can move themselves with their arms if able, where it’s not an option in the transport chair. The only thing I am tempted to remove a star for are the breaks. I suspect we’re not setting them correctly, they don’t seem to work. We almost had a real life “jackass” situation with mom rolling away backwards due to this. Have your person hold the wheels just to be on the safe side if stopped on an incline and you need to move from the chair to say open a door or gate.

Bought this chair to use after my knee replacement surgery at the end of the month . Chair seems very well made . Husband is a lil concerned about how well the small front wheels will hold up seeing as they are only plastic .
Will update after surgery and I’ve used the chair .

Wheelchair was as described and arrived in good condition. MANY OF THE EXISTING REVIEWS SPOKE OF ISSUES LIKE THAT THE BRAKES DON’T HOLD BUT IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THE ONLY REASON IT DOESN’T HOLD IS THEY DON’T PUSH THEM ALL THE WAY BACK TO WHERE THEY BELONG. THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE CHAIR WORKS IN ALL RESPECTS! The only negative I noticed was the footrest that rest on the two pins and allow them to fold out of the way have no safety provision to keep them from lifting out unless they are in their locked position. You need to be sure that when you pick up the chair you take them off if they’re not in the locked position or they might fall out on the ground. Time will tell whether my wife needs the leg supports or not but if she does then we need them all the time I will probably just put some caps on the pins to keep them from slipping out.

The 16″ size was a perfect fit for my 13 year old son who was going out of province for surgery on his leg. His physiotherapist was impressed with the quality and price but wished it had anti-tip legs on the back for my daredevil son.
I would definitely recommend this chair for teens or small adults.

Online it says the weight limit is 300 and then on the tag you get with the wheelchair it says 250. This might be nitpicking and this is my first wheelchair so idk if it’s normal or not, but you still have to put the feet on it. Not a huge deal as they’re pretty easy to put on, but I was just not expecting that as it says fully assembled. But other than those two minor things it’s a solid wheelchair.

This is my fourth low cost wheelchair from best-wheelchair.com and the second Blue Streak from Drive. I don’t need or use the leg rests but do have trouble getting into and out of a regular chair (I have bad balance). As a result, I am setting down and getting up dozens of times each day. This chair has good brakes and holds up well even though I exceed the 250 lb limit by 75 lbs. After about 4 years I will have put so much wear and tear on the upholstery and armrests that I will be needing another. This is the one I will get. Parts are available but not cost effective when the chair is ~$150.

When my Dr prescribed a wheel chair for my ascites I thought my insurance would cover it. Of course I started getting rental bills I was not expecting so I started checking into just buying one for myself. When I saw the price on this I thought no way it would be good quality but then saw it was a Drive so gave it a chance. One of my biggest issues is when I am sitting in the hospital waiting for test results, my feet are down allowing for the fluid to continually build up. When I saw the legs flipped up I was sold. It was worth the shot and risk of having to return it, which I hate to do. I love it!!! It is easy to navigate myself. The versatility of the foot rests make it perfect for any situation. Both arms lift up and swing open giving you lots of possibilities on ways to exit the chair or just make yourself comfortable when sitting around. There are lots of good reviews about it already and I would say they are all true. Watch the videos and read the reviews if you need to but I say just buy it and you won’t regret it.
