I bought this chair to help my mother when we went on a family cruise. It comes with a bag to carry it which is helpful. The chair opens easily and there a clips to lock it open. It rolls smoothly and turns easily. I had to roll it backwards when approaching doorways or flooring that had raised parts. Backwards keeps the wheels from catching which did not happen when going backwards. Once the bumps were navigated the chair easily turn around to go forward. We were able to move faster than my passengers walking near us. Getting the chair to lock for loading and unloading my mother was a challenge. I put the back of the chair up to wall so it wouldn’t move. The biggest negative is the bar in the back of the chair which affects comfort. I brought a gel cushion so to cured this issue. The chair really saved the day since my mother can walk but very slowly which is not good on a large cruise ship. We would have missed meals without the speed and convenience of this chair.

The chair is simple but be careful with the closing and your fingers

For our small by level house the 19” width is more maneuverable down our tight hallway and turns.

This chair was for my daughter who is 5 foot 4 and weighs 180 lbs. Because the foot rest is so elevated, it put her knees too high and she said she felt like her abdomen was squished. Maybe for a very petite elderly person this chair would be ideal. Also, I don’t like the shiny chrome… just personal preference.

Not sure how I could travel with this in a plane would be a problem to put in overhead and would have to be checked when boarded. Very good visiting a botanical garden that was a long walking path. Without this chair my wife could not have participated. Works just like the ones used in airports. The large wheels are a must. It folds pretty well once you get the hang of it, my wife would never be able to handle it. Needs to have more padding in back support and hook for a bag. The strap to hold it when folded is hard to use with the pull handle. Glad we bought it and my wife saw the benefit after we used it. Worth the investment for us.

The brake would not lock when it arrived. I needed two needle nose pliers to adjust the length of the brake line. Pliers are not supplied. I wasted about an hour trying to decipher the tiny photos of the nuts that needed adjusting. It would take the factory less than a minute to make the adjustments so the brakes would lock.
The brake was too hard for me to lock and release. I returned the chair and bought a similar chair with an easier
brake lock. I’m a senior with small hands.

This chair was bought for my husband who has mobility problems. I am 80 and I can lift and place in the car to take him to the doctor or anywhere he needs to go. It folds up easy and it is small enough to fit in most places.
